Today, I am grateful for noticing everything that moves in the right direction and every piece of progress. When we pause with it, we celebrate it widely and profusely. We love every part of us that counts the most. Parts that show up for ourselves, that are doing good things, that we will benefit from. That is the reason we are in this practise at all. So every time you berate yourself, go into doubt, slip off the path, etc., you are subconsciously undermining everything that is working for you that is good for you. Don't wait till everything is perfect. Celebrate the here and now that feels good and right, particularly where there is some progress. Here are some things to notice to help you see your progress as you go along. • Notice when you remember to pause and breathe when you are feeling triggered instead of spiralling out of control. • Notice when you catch a trigger a few seconds earlier than before • Notice when you recover time, your bounce-back time gets a little bit shorter • Notice when you can name a reaction instead of being ruled by it • Notice when you respond in a way that you are proud of • Notice when you do something for yourself, that makes your day easier, like taking something off the To Do List • Notice when you are giving yourself a good thing that you might have denied yourself in the past. • Notice when you choose care over criticising • Notice when you remember to breathe before you speak • Notice when something that used to activate you before doesn't anymore These small shifts, my dear one, are nothing; they are a transformation in action. The transformation that you are seeking, and these are the things that we can notice in each day of our lives. Perhaps you can have a checkpoint to notice, at some point in your day? Notice overtime (we often look for quick fixes) We are noticing, we are witnessing, all the changes. There might be small things, but they add up to big things that can be life-changing. Don't look for the big things. What has softened in me that used to feel hard and sharp. Every pause is a victory. The goal in life is not to fix or improve yourself; it is to love yourself and your precious life journey.
