What do you do when you’re working on something, and out of nowhere, you have to slow down or stop? Jesus here is talking about the importance of flow and flexibility when it comes to working on a project. This is something that I struggle with, and sometimes feel that if I pour more time or effort into something, I’m going to achieve whatever goal it is that I’m working toward. But sometimes, life gets in the way, and we don’t have any control.
It’s interesting because we both highly value qualities of persistence and consistency, but from time to time, there is a pause or plateau in a project, and our ability to adapt is part of the process. I love the book, ‘Greenlights’ by actor Matthew McConaughey, as he speaks to this topic, and it’s a good reminder that when the traffic light is ‘green,’ that we use the moment to push forward, ‘ride that wave,’ and use momentum to our advantage.
Let us know in the comments whether slowing down or pausing a project is challenging for you too, and let us know in the comments what your project is right now! We’d love to know.
