Class of 28/29' Checklist!
Here are a few next steps we can focus on over the next 2-3 months: 1. Highlight Video If you haven't already, it's time to get the cameras rolling. Start clipping your daughter's best moments from games to create her first highlight video. This is a crucial tool for getting noticed. 2. Social Media Presence Ensure you or your daughter creates soccer-focused social media accounts. If she isn't already, begin posting content regularly. Aim for at least one post per week to build a consistent presence. (If it’s on X, have her tag me so I can repost!) 3. Coach Outreach You or your daughter should begin building a list of potential schools. This list should be broad and include programs at all levels: Division 1, Division 2, and Division 3. Don't limit your options early on. 4. ID Clinic/Showcase Calendar Consider attending a local ID clinic, whether it's at a single school or a multi-school event. This will help your daughter understand what it's like to play in front of college coaches. Think of it more as an educational exercise than a direct recruitment opportunity at this stage. 5. College Visits Visit college campuses and attend games whenever you can. This will help you get a true sense of the campus environment, the team, and the coaching staff. Use these visits to figure out what types of schools you like and where you can realistically see your daughter thriving in a few years.
