I certainly didn't. we were dead poor growing up, and I was bankrupt at the age of 23. There was no such thing as crowd funding, or kickstarter funds in my day... Just a bank manager. And if they didn't like your idea then you had to build your thing without it! I've done OK, but I can't teach you everything you need to know on my own, so I've assembled a team of people who have all pledged to help you in their specific area of expertise.
