What your data πŸ“Š CANNOT tell you πŸ€”πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ...
I'm a massive fan of performance data. All my players collect training data to some degree, and I'm sure you do to. It's an absolutely CRITICAL part of my coaching, and I'd be guessing a LOT without it.
There's piles of value in these numbers, but it's not an oracle. Consider the pic below.
This is friendly match data from a couple of my players via Polar H10 sensors (the BEST sensor on the market BTW...).
This data might be "neat" or "interesting" to some of you. But for most, the value stops there.
Here's what you can absolutely understand from this data. Player A worked harder and for longer than Player B. And that's about it. Honestly.
EVERYTHING ELSE IS AN ASSUMPTION.
You CANNOT tell:
-who won
-who is fitter
-hits better lines
-who volleys more
-who hits more tin
-who makes better decisions
But that's not what this type of data is for...do you know what this data CAN be used for? Comment below!
Here's a hint: it's SUPER important πŸ˜‰
