Looking Ahead on our European Bread Exploration
Right now we're in Italy working on Pane Siciliano, but next week we're heading to northern Europe.
We'll be tackling a fairly straightforward tinned loaf but with some ingredients you might not have in your pantry. You'll likely need these ingredients again in the coming weeks, so now's a good time to see what you may need to add to your shopping list.
-whole spelt flour
-rye flour (your choice of light, medium, dark)
-rolled oats
-cocoa powder
-seeds of your choice such as flax, pumpkin, sunflower, sesame, etc.
-honey (or sweetener of your choice)
-sea salt
And for future weeks, we'll likely use some cracked grains (wheat, rye, etc.)
I'll be doing some test baking over the weekend (and another Pane Siciliano as a special request for Mother's Day) with plans to have recipe ready no later than Monday.
Let me know if you have questions!
