HOT AND READY FOR THE PRESSES: MARRIED WIDOW by LUCIE HASKINS
The release date is Dean’s birthday, January 26, 2026! Please join me in celebrating Lucie Haskins on the publication of her memoir, Married Widow. It is a tribute to her husband, Dean, as well as anyone who is navigating and caring for a loved one with a traumatic brain injury. A huge congratulations to Lucie. Sometimes it takes 15 years to walk the path, write, and live life. She did it, and I am so proud of her. It's been extraordinary to have walked with her these past seven years. Lucie is an extraordinary woman, and her heart, love, and grace are expressed in the most magnificent way. The love and care she gave to her husband, Dean, through his 14 years with a traumatic brain injury, while being an advocate for him, is remarkable. All while updating her family and friends through email and delving into her own spiritual healing and growth. Lucie is now a two-time published author! (And I'm proud to have worked with Lucie on both books.) Friends, this book is a wealth of information if you know anyone who is an advocate and caregiver for a loved one with TBI.

Open Mic Session Tomorrow
The Writing Room opens its doors tomorrow for our first Open Mic Session. Date: January 19, 2026 Time: 10:00 AM PST Where: The Zoom link is in the calendar. We’ll begin with a short grounding meditation, then we’ll open the floor to briefly share what you’re working on, followed by 10 minutes of sacred writing to expand an existing piece or start something new. You can: • Share something you’ve written • Or arrive with a blank page and be held while we open the Language Portal and let the words arrive. • Be witnessed without fixing or judgment • Receive grounded, compassionate feedback There is no pressure to perform here. Some people come with pages. Some come with presence. Both belong. If your writing has been quiet or you’ve been waiting for the right writing room, this is it. Let me know if you’re planning to join.
What accomplishment are you most proud of this week?
I did the cover layout for Lucie Haskins book, Married Widow, and we got it uploaded to Amazon for its official launch on January 26, 2026. This is ONE of my most favourite times in the publishing process. For the author to see their book laid out for the first time! How about you? Big or small ... what did you feel really good about doing this week?
