What If Slowing Down Isn’t the Scary Part?
Thank you, @Jill Pidcock, for such an open and thoughtful reflection 🤍 What really stayed with me was the honesty in exploring how sometimes we stay busy not because we need to, but because slowing down means being alone with our thoughts. How many of us have done that? Filled the calendar, kept moving, distracted ourselves just so we would not have to sit with what is actually there? The part that stood out most was the realization that maybe the thing we fear is not the slowing down itself, but what we imagine might happen if we actually let ourselves feel. The takeaway I’m holding from this conversation is this: sometimes we are stronger than the stories we tell ourselves about what will happen if we pause ✨ So I’m curious: Do you ever keep yourself busy to avoid sitting with your thoughts? And what do you think might happen if you gave yourself a little more space instead? Also, if this conversation spoke to you, you can watch The Secret Film here.
