ECLIPSE SEASON + NERVOUS SYSTEM GROUNDING ✨
Eclipse energy can feel intense, not always in loud, dramatic ways but often as subtle inner pressure, restlessness, emotional waves, fatigue or clarity arriving before we feel ready. Eclipses don’t just add energy. They reorganize it. They accelerate what’s been building quietly beneath the surface. Your nervous system may respond by scanning for safety more than usual. That is not a problem, it’s your body doing its job. So during eclipse season, we focus less on “doing more” and more on stabilizing the system that holds us. Here is a grounding practice: 🧸 Orient to the present Look around slowly. Name 5 things you can see. 4 things you can physically touch. 3 sounds you can hear. Let your eyes move gently, this signals safety to your brain. 🫁 Regulate the breath Inhale through the nose for 4 Exhale slowly through the mouth for 6 Longer exhales tell the nervous system it can soften. 🫶🏻 Weight and pressure Press your feet firmly into the ground or floor. If sitting, feel the support of the chair beneath you. Let gravity hold you. You don’t have to hold yourself up alone. Weighted blankets work great too! 🫀Containment hold One hand on heart, one on belly. Gentle pressure. Whisper internally: “I am safe in this moment.” Repeat for 2 minutes. 🌘 General Eclipse Guidance • Slow down decision making when possible • Rest more than you think you need • Let emotions move without over analyzing them • Stay hydrated and nourish your body consistently • Spend time outside, especially near trees or water • Limit overstimulation (news, scrolling, noise, pressure) • Notice what is leaving your life, without forcing replacement yet This is not typically a time to force clarity. It is a time to allow recalibration. Think of eclipses like nervous system upgrades, the system reorganizes before it stabilizes. If things feel uncertain, tender, or intense, you are not “crazy” or “off track.” You are in transition. Your only job right now is regulation, presence and gentleness.
