How do you know if you are a morning lark or a night owl? Maybe you feel most alert mid-morning. The following is a link to the morningness-eveningness questionnaire, a 19 item questionnaire used in research that can help guide you to figure our your peak alertness. Please answer the questions as when your body prefers to do to the following rather than when you actually do (i.e. think about what your schedule would like be on vacation or if had you no responsibilities to dictate your schedule.) https://qxmd.com/calculate/calculator_829/morningness-eveningness-questionnaire-meq Questions? Is it insomnia or are you a night owl?
Oftentimes I chat with folks who have a hard time falling asleep and don't realize that they have a shift in their internal clock aka circadian rhythm that leads them to be sleepier later. Typically this is if someone cannot sleep until after midnight. Guess what there is a genetic component to this and it can run in the family. Think of it like jet lag, but you aren't on vacation in a different time zone. A great wake to turn your internal clock back if you want to sleep earlier is to increase your light exposure in the AM by 30 min or greater when you wake up. If you can go outside and take a walk amazing! If not consider purchasing a light box of at least 10,000 lux to help you feel sleepier earlier within a week you'll notice yourself feeling sleepier earlier. Let me me know if this helps.

Women Who Love Sleep PJ Party Replay
On Saturday March 16th I hosted a virtual sleep party with 7 amazing sleep specialists. We talked about social media trends on sleep such as sleepy girl mocktails and bed rotting. We shared our favorite bedtime comforts and discussed the importance of a bedtime routine. I certainly learned a lot even after being in the field sleep for over 10 years. It was also good fun! Hope you can watch the replay before it ends on Tuesday. If you'd like lifetime access to the content to revisit all the tips at your own pace, get the replays! There are 2 options: Option #1: PJ Party replay, transcript and audio...for only $47 https://womensleepsummit.ck.page/products/pj-party-replay Option #2 [Best Value]: PJ Party AND 2023 International Women's Sleep Summit, including all the videos, audios, and transcripts, PLUS 4 bonus videos that weren't in the live events. New Classroom Module
Hi Ladies! Hope you are all doing well. I am on spring break with the kids this week so won't be able to do a Live Q&A. Please feel free to ask your questions in the community section. I uploaded a new module on Sleep Medicine for Women. The first video is a training I did about How to gain more energy, using the power of your breath, 11 things a sleep MD wishes all women knew about snoring and sleep apnea. Let me know what you think.
