If you’re a coach or consultant over 40, your age is not a barrier on LinkedIn.
It is one of your biggest advantages.
Your real-world expertise, lived experience, professional judgment, and the roles you’ve held all build trust faster than a polished but generic profile ever will.
That is why I think so many women underestimate what they already have.
Your LinkedIn profile should not read like a flat list of credentials.
It should help people understand:
  • Who you are
  • What you know
  • Who you help
  • Why they should trust you
That is where your experience becomes an asset, not just a backstory.
While a lot of people are still trying to sound impressive online, women over 40 often already have the depth, pattern recognition, and credibility that clients are actually looking for.
The question is whether your profile reflects that.
