One of the most powerful things I've heard on That Will Nevr Work came from Lidia Axe:
"You must define success in your own world first."
That quote has stayed with me.
What's interesting is that the lesson didn't end when the podcast episode was over. Being part of Lidia's community has given me the opportunity to see this principle lived out in real time. The conversations, the encouragement, and the different perspectives have continually reinforced the idea that success is not a one-size-fits-all destination.
For a long time, I think many of us measure success using someone else's scoreboard. Their income. Their title. Their followers. Their achievements. Their timeline.
The problem is that if you don't define success for yourself, you'll spend your life chasing goals that were never yours to begin with.
Success might be building a thriving business. Success might be having dinner with your family every night. Success might be finding peace after a difficult season. Success might be finally having the courage to start.
I've learned that fulfillment begins when your definition of success aligns with your values, your purpose, and your why.
Before you chase the next milestone, ask yourself:
What does success look like in your world? Your answer may change everything.
Thank you, Lidia, not only for sharing that wisdom on the podcast, but for creating a community that continues to challenge people to think differently about success and what truly matters.
