Two Farmers Walked Into a Market
let me tell you a story. all characters are fictional. any resemblance to real people is purely educational. === two farmers were invited to sell their harvest at a big community market. the organizer took care of everything. the ads. the foot traffic. the setup. the crowd. all the farmers had to do was show up with their best produce. === farmer #1 showed up on market day. set up the stand. gave out samples. great produce, honestly. then packed up and left. a few days later, the organizer checked in. "How was it?" "eh. i only got one customer. doesn't feel worth the effort." to their credit — they added, "maybe I'm looking at this wrong." yeah. maybe. === farmer #2 also showed up on market day. also had great produce. but here's the thing. farmer #2 came before the market day. helping set up the stalls. handing out flyers around town. talking to other vendors. hyping the event. on market day? farmer #2 didn't just sell from their stall. they walked around. bought from other farmers. cheered people on. stayed till closing. after market day? farmer #2 kept showing up. still walking the aisles. still building relationships. still there. few days after, farmer #2 sent the organizer a message: "hey — someone from your market just became a repeat customer. thank you." not a complaint. a thank you. === now let me be real with you. farmer #1 isn't a bad person. they're a great expert. talented. skilled. but they treated the market like a vending machine. insert presentation → receive customers. that's not how it works. that's not how relationships work. that's not how any of this works. farmer #2? they're going to crush it. not because they're more talented. because they understand something most people don't: you don't harvest where you haven't planted. and when someone shows up like that? with that energy? with that generosity? i will move mountains for them. every door i can open — open. every connection i can make — made. that's the real ROI of showing up. it's not in the session. it's in what happens after.

I think I am closer to Farmer #2 who occasionally expects Farmer #2 results from Farmer #1 systems. I naturally invest in people, communities, and relationships. I spent years interviewing entrepreneurs, promoting guests, supporting community members, highlighting other people's wins, volunteering your expertise, serving on boards, joining associations, attending events, and creating opportunities for others. My challenge isn't that failing to plant. My challenge is that I maybe planting in way to many different fields at the same time.

Remember when... 🤭
in April I posted that I would get to 100 members in 30 days... well, I just got there today. Obviously I didn't make it in 30 days. 😂 Not the timeline I had aimed for but still a win I'm proud of. Thanks to this community for the accountability, the advice on churn, the crawl that gave me 11 members in one night, and @Lidia Axe for all the great advice 🤩

Congrats and I know y'all will crush it!!!!!
This week
A real win this week has simply been watching people lead by example. I want to give flowers to @Lidia Axe for being a powerful reminder that consistency, encouragement, authenticity, and showing up with intention still matter. In a world where so many people are trying to be seen, there’s something refreshing about someone who focuses on genuinely helping others grow, connect, and move forward. What stands out to me most is not just the work itself, but the energy behind it. The willingness to pour into people. The willingness to create space for others to learn, sharpen themselves, and step into greater confidence. That type of leadership leaves a lasting impact. Sometimes your biggest win is not just what you accomplish personally, but who inspires you to keep elevating. This week reminded me that being around the right people matters. Seeing others operate with purpose, excellence, and generosity challenges all of us to level up in our own way. So thank you, Lidia Axe, for being a great example of leadership, community, and encouragement in action. The influence is seen and appreciated more than you probably realize.
