There was a point in my business where brides would email me asking to book for 2 years out and I didn’t even know what to say...
So naturally I created a fake waitlist 🤷🏻♀️ just to have somewhere to put them lolllll
Before I knew it, 70 brides were on it. I was like wellpppp mind as well take this seriously.
So I put a full launch into place.
Then in ONE DAY I booked 15 weddings. That month? 31.
Booking out 45% of my year in a single month.
That was the moment I realized:
→ The power of building urgency + exclusivity.
→ Why a waitlist isn’t just “waiting.” It’s a launch system.
→ Your waitlist is what creates predictable income in a seasonal industry.
The to-do’s:
📓 Journal Prompts:
→ If a bride asked to book 2 years out, what would I say?
→ How could I create more urgency around my own bookings?
→ What felt hard about bookings/inquiries this week?
→ What’s one win I can celebrate?
💻 Business:
- Review inquiry responses → are they systemized or scattered?
- Create one “next step” for brides who aren’t ready yet (DM script, nurture post, etc.)
- Time block 30mins for follow ups
- Review the upcoming year, what would make it easier?
📲 Personal:
- Clean out your inbox
- Schedule a future appt (doctor, dentist, car service)
- Knock out one “long term” task you’ve been ignoring
Homework:
→ draft ONE message you’d send a bride who YOU’RE not ready to book yet but want to later.
Here’s a DM draft for you: “I actually have a waitlist for 2026 since my books aren’t open just yet, want me to add you so you’re the first to know when I open dates?”
Who's running a waitlist this year?! My entire waitlist method system that booked me 31 brides in 30 days is inside Bridal Boss Academy but only until December 1st. (because honestly I don't recommend running one after January bookings won't be as high) tomorrow we're doing a special live Waitlist Workshop allll around pricing strategies s your 2027 doesn't hate you for booking those brides at 2025 rates 🤪
