6 Things I Wish I Knew When Losing 55+ lbs
1 You don't have to be perfect to see results. Consistency beats perfection every single time. 2 More cardio isn't always the answer. Strength training helped transform my body more than endless hours on a treadmill. 3 Protein matters more than I realized. Eating enough protein kept me full, helped build muscle, and made fat loss easier. 4 The scale doesn't tell the whole story. Progress pictures, measurements, strength, and confidence matter too. 5 You can't hate yourself into a body you love. The biggest transformation happened when I started taking care of myself instead of punishing myself. 6 The journey never really ends. You don't "arrive" and suddenly have it all figured out. You keep learning, growing, and becoming a stronger version of yourself.

6 Things I Wish I Knew When Losing 55+ lbs
Workout w me
For the longest time, I thought lifting heavier was the key to faster results. While progressive overload is important, focusing on tempo control and slowing down my reps has been a game changer. Combined with more unilateral work, I’ve improved my form, balance, and overall strength more than I expected. Sometimes it’s not about lifting heavier it’s about lifting smarter. If you need help creating a training plan that aligns with your goals, reach out. I’d love to help.

Pilates Hundreds
Believe me when I tell you that no matter how many years I’ve spent in the gym, when I started my Pilates certification, I couldn’t do a roll-up, hold a teaser, or fully extend my legs. It’s still humbling, but one of the best ways I learn is by practicing and cueing myself through the movements. So join me as we go over some foundational Mat Pilates exercises and learn together. Pilates has improved my form, balance, stability, and overall strength. If it feels hard right now, keep going it only gets better. 🤍
