Claude Desktop as system orchestrator with Subscription
Hey everyone, I've been exploring this over the last few days after not liking the other things I'd tried for a 'daily driver' primary chat agent and system management co-pilot. I couldn't really find this exact outline when searching here or online so hopefully its helpful if anyone else is curious. I've set up Claude Desktop on my mac mini, and have successfully, I think, set it so on my macbook I can just chat into Claude (through a Tailscale and ssh set up) under a specific project and Claude Desktop can write files, view files, run commands, etc.
I have no idea if this skill will work, I just asked it to generate it now, perhaps you can audit it/refine it if it can be useful for the community. It's a summary of the steps I think that are required. I'll post in a follow up on this thread a TLDR.
But so far, it's helped me code updates to my Mission Control, reduce context bloat from bootstrap files, clean up files redundancy, and more. 😅
