This is a controversial topic and I know it will hit some chords for some people. Every body is different and unique. Your work environment, daily responsibilities, and maintaining routine all contribute to what you need to survive (and thrive).
But our society is hyper-focused on Energy.
And I am not talking about Quantum energy here. I am talking about physical stimulation that has been hijacked by capitalist exploitation of the human body.
From energy drinks to morning coffee rituals to the new matcha craze — we are all searching for more energy. More output. More production. More push.
And rarely are we asking:
Why are we so tired in the first place?
From the Bhakti Yoga perspective, we try not to rely on external stimulation. External stimulation is often a sign that something internal is being bypassed. When we override the body’s natural rhythms with caffeine and stimulants, we create a cycle that is not sustainable without an outside source.
That is different from inner vitality.
This is why when I work with (especially) highly sensitive people, I always ask about caffeine intake. When you struggle with chronic illness, fatigue, burnout, depression and/or anxiety — it can absolutely be linked to the body becoming dependent on outside sources for “energy.”
I am not talking about herbs, fruits, and vegetables. Those nourish the nervous system. They support regulation. They are not addictive in the way coffee and synthetic energy “fixers” can be.
There is a difference between nourishment and stimulation.
And this is where I use the word:
Inergy
Inergy is inner-generated vitality. It is what happens when your nervous system is regulated. When your adrenals are not constantly being whipped. When your sleep is intact. When your body trusts you.
Energy (as society markets it) is often borrowed. Inergy is cultivated.
💠 Natural ways to restore Inergy 💠
🌞Morning Sun
Between sunrise and around 10am — when the light is life-giving rather than aggressive. Even 10 minutes can shift your mood, hormones, and clarity.
💤 Adequate sleep
Not scrolling in bed. Not falling asleep to noise. True rest. Including Naps…I know this is hard for some. But if you are peaking and crashing throughout the day, can you shut your eyes for 20 minutes without electronics? A small reset can change your entire nervous system state.
🌿 Adrenal-supporting herbs
Passionflower. Lavender. Skullcap. Gentle nervines that soothe instead of spike.
🥝 Fruits
Mineral-rich. Hydrating. Alive.
🧬 Adaptogens (when used intentionally)
Ginseng and others can support resilience — but not as a productivity hack.
This isn’t about demonizing coffee. It’s about awareness.
If you are constantly needing something outside of yourself to function — your body may be asking for something deeper than stimulation.
In my work — whether through spiritual counseling, energetic readings, or deeper initiatory containers — we don’t just talk about mindset. We look at the nervous system. We look at the rhythms. We look at what is being overridden in the name of performance.
Because you cannot access your intuition, your devotion, or your power from a dysregulated body.
Inergy is not flashy. It is not loud. It is steady.
And steady is sustainable.

Are you cultivating that level of vitality that comes from alignment rather than force? What does “Inergy” look like in your life right now?
In devotion,
