Daily Soundtrack: "Teach your Children Well" Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young

Seven years ago this month—February 5, 2019—my dad died. He was an amazing man that left a legacy of renewable energy innovations and community service. At his memorial, my very talented siblings (and me… not so talented 😊) sang this song together. I practiced for a long time. It mattered that I could stand there with them and offer my voice.

This song carries so much history for us—siblings, family, the way values get passed down, the quiet instruction of how to live. I haven’t had much space to pause and think about him lately, but this morning I woke up missing him deeply.

Sharing this feels like a small pause. A remembering. A way of teaching and being taught across generations.
