Also if anybody is trying to lose weight. Try and not run a deficit during recovery weeks. It defeats the purpose of recovering and it becomes a lot harder when you are training less and have to reduce the food intake on top of that. I was always more inclined to want to eat more anyways as I’d have more time on my hands during recovery weeks - so mentally that makes it even harder again. If you’ve got tonnes of weight to lose then it’s not as big of an issue. But it’s definitely not a bad idea to break even every now and then. Seems to make weight loss easier overall too in the medium to long term.
