If you don’t know where to start with fragrance. Start here!

I got my first shipment from Joe A Decants this week and I am really impressed with this company! I have been lurking around the fragrance section both here in RMRS and Brotherhood of Scent. I have also visited Dillards and Macys. We don’t have any physical department stores near me with the nearest being around 25 miles away.

My problem as a beginner is where to start? At a physical store you get overwhelmed very quickly and who wants to make a $100 to $200 mistake on a bottle? I tried a company called “Microperfumes”. But I was ordering blind and had no idea what I was doing. And the atomizers on the travel bottles sucked and left huge drop patterns all over my clothing.

owner of Joe A Decants posted on here and asked for feedback so I looked at his site. Saw he had a fragrance quiz and although I was a little dubious I took the quiz. Looked at the suggestions and thought why not? The quiz gave me 18 suggestions. I decided to pick 3. After I had picked them the price was on low I thought “wow I am going to get another one”. Long story short. They came in and all of them are scents I like. The atomizers are great and don’t leave spots on you. I am genuinely impressed.
