🐢Sometimes, life has a funny way of reminding us of things we need to hear. Yesterday morning, I was unexpectedly blessed with an old friend scratching at my door. Now, I didn’t realize it right away—but that friend was on a mission. 🐢🐢Scratch. Scratch. I looked through the peephole—nothing. Scratch. This visitor wasn’t giving up. Curiosity took over, so I slipped outside quietly and saw what was making all that noise...a medium-sized turtle, slowly but surely making its way to me. The moment I saw it, an old story from my childhood came flooding back: Aesop’s The Tortoise and the Hare. 🐢🐢🐢You know the lesson. Slow and steady wins the race. And here was my messenger, reminding me to trust the journey, to stay steady even when life races by. 🐢🐢🐢🐢I gently lifted that little guy and took him to the reservoir, where he could safely keep on his journey. It was such a small moment but filled with a powerful reminder: to never lose sight of what’s right in front of us. 🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢We may chase big dreams, move fast, even kick the door from the inside when life scratches at it. But sometimes, we need a moment with that quiet, persistent messenger reminding us to stay grounded and move with purpose. What’s scratching at your door today?...by Deremiah *CPE
