Did you know that looking at images of nature for a couple of minutes helps you to reset your nervous system and bring balance back? It really does! Actually, science has backed this.
If you can get out into nature and take a walk, bonus points. But not everybody has that. Even at your desk or on your phone in a waiting room somewhere, you can take a little nature break.
Having a beautiful background on your phone or desktop can help and having any pictures of nature that you can look at or short videos that you can see that don't have talking just beautiful nature will really help. You can project yourself into the scene and give yourself a break. You'll probably notice that your shoulders have dropped and your breathing is slower when you're done!
Bringing balance into your life and resetting your nervous system isn't about gigantic, momentous changes. It's about the little things. And what it really takes? Mindfulness.
