🌙 Surah Al-Fātiḥah (1:3)
Arabic:
الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
Tarjuma (Translation):“The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.”
Tajweed Explanation:
- الرَّحْمَٰنِ → “Ar-Raḥmān” Lam (ال) is not pronounced (Sun letter rule) → merges into ر رَّ (Ra with shaddah) → strong, doubled sound (Ar-Ra) ح (ḥa) → soft throat sound مَٰنِ → madd (stretch) on “ā” for 2 counts
- الرَّحِيمِ → “Ar-Raḥīm” Again, Lam merges into ر (sun letter) Shaddah on رّ → double “r” sound حِيمِ → stretch “ee” sound (madd) for 2 counts
