Arabic ayat :6
ٱهْدِنَا ٱلصِّرَٰطَ ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمَ
🌐 Translation (Tarjuma – English)
“Guide us to the Straight Path.”
🧠 Word-by-word meaning
- ٱهْدِنَا (Ihdinā) → Guide us
- ٱلصِّرَٰطَ (aṣ-Ṣirāṭa) → The path
- ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمَ (al-Mustaqīm) → The straight / correct
🎙️ Tajweed Rules (Simple Explanation)
- ٱهْدِنَا (Ihdinā) هْ (Hā with sukoon) → clear, soft sound (no heavy emphasis)
- ٱلصِّرَٰطَ (aṣ-Ṣirāṭa) ٱل + ص = assimilation (Idghām Shamsi) → “Al” is not pronounced fully → read as “aṣ-Ṣirāṭ” ص (Ṣād) → heavy letter (tafkhīm), pronounced with fullness رَٰ (Rā) → heavy here because of fatḥah Stretch (Madd) on رَٰ → prolong about 2 counts
- ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمَ (al-Mustaqīm) ٱل (Al) → pronounced clearly (since م is a moon letter → Izhar Qamari) ق (Qāf) → heavy letter ي (Ya with madd) → stretch for 2 counts (natural madd)
