In the first part of the Review on his series on Master Salesmanship, Hill describes accurate thinking, or having a positive mental attitude, and how he achieved this state. This continued review (parts 3,4,5) are examples of how Belief, and a positive mental attitude, was actually used.

If you have read 'Think & Grow Rich' and other Hill's works, you will be familiar with the traits of a master salesman and the 17-principles of the Success formula as well as many of the stories presented here. Hill does break down the formula & Belief and how in four steps, he was able to acquire the necessary financing (equivalent of then $100K) to start his magazine. This is one of my favorite stories as it shows how creative one can be when needed.

What really stood out for me was the diversity of the types of businesses and different strategies or plans that this worked to provide the desired results. What all of them had in common was a definiteness of purpose, unwavering Belief, an organized plan of action, and focused persistence.

I will briefly mention the traits, as someone new to this, that I will be working on during this new year.

First, I will need Controlled Attention, not just a positive attitude and focus on the outcome. I will need to keep this vision throughout the process and especially interacting with clients. Also, having a Magnetic Personality wins buyers and more importantly keeps them so I can develop a long-lasting coaching relationship. Finally, the right personality is also necessary for bringing in the right associates for a successful, harmonious Mastermind Alliance.
