Rhythm makes ideas stick. Simple beats = steadier focus. We’ve added a Classroom Rhythm Toolkit resource to The Playbook Exchange under the Classroom tab. It’s a menu of beat patterns and movement rhythms you can drop into lessons (math, literacy, even lunch). If you have a song, chant, or beat that works at your site, please post it in The Playbook Exchange so other directors can benefit too.

Executive Function = getting started, holding a step, stopping, and switching plans. We’ve added a three-page EF Red Flags — Quick Look to The Playbook Exchange for you to share with staff. It’s a heads-up list (not a diagnosis): notice what you see and look for patterns over time—where, when, and how often it shows up. Have something that’s working at your site—a one-pager, checklist, or visual you created? Please post it in The Playbook Exchange so other directors can borrow it. Short and simple is perfect.

*You'll find this resource within the Classroom tab (above). Scroll down to find The Playbook Exchange and click on it. We're building a resource library. We'd love for you to contribute to build out the resources that you find valuable. Just send me a DM with the resource link and I'll add it into The Playbook Exchange. 🚩Today's resource is a quick look for your teachers to learn to spot sensory red flags. 🚩 Use it as a heads-up list (not a diagnosis): notice what you see and look for patterns over time—where, when, and how often the behavior shows up. And a good reminder for everyone: Sensory signals are information, not misbehavior. 🩷

Kids stay calmer when the day feels predictable — and teachers stay calmer when they’re not expected to hold it all together during constant surprise. Two tools that help: 1. A simple visual schedule or First → Then board kids can point to. 2. Saying the change out loud and staying connected: “Our plan is different today. We’re staying inside instead of playground. I’ll show you which activities are available.” Today we’re sharing a 1-page handout you can use with staff: “Predictability + Flexibility in Preschool: Why Both Matter.” Print it, post it, email it, or just screenshot and text it to your lead teachers, and let us know what changes you notice.

⭐Sharing Resources in The Playbook Exchange⭐
This space is all about sparking collaboration and inspiration among leaders who support early learning teams. We know that teachers (and children!) thrive most through hands-on exploration—not stacks of worksheets—so this is where we share what brings play, connection, and creativity back into classrooms. 💡 What to share: - Professional development ideas or team activities that nurture creativity and curiosity - Classroom strategies, routines, or setups that have supported regulation and engagement - Resources you’ve shared with staff that brought fresh energy or new perspectives 📸 Snap a photo, link a resource, or jot a quick note about what’s working in your center (or what you’re still figuring out!). Sharing helps other leaders strengthen their own teams too. Together, we’re building a collection of play-based, connection-centered ideas that help teachers—and children—flourish. 🌱
