What I Learned from My Last Raise
In the last months, I pitched one of our development projects to more than 100 investors.
🔸 10 politely declined.
🔸 10 engaged but didn’t join.
🔸 65 never followed up.
🔸 And 15 investors said yes - until the deal became oversubscribed.
At the beginning, reactions weren’t easy.
Some questioned the model, the market, even the team.
But while I was handling investor conversations, my local partner was quietly moving things forward - negotiating the asset, building trust with the municipality, setting the works, budgets, and timeline.
That movement created authority and momentum. Because when things move - trust follows.
Here’s what this raise taught me 👇
✅ Every “no” is an invitation to refine.
✅ Build a bulletproof project and team - confidence starts with structure.
✅ Say no to misaligned investors - the right ones always appear.
✅ People invest in your certainty more than your numbers.
✅ Light reminders are fine - chasing is not.
✅ Clear deadlines create clarity and energy.
Raising capital is never just about money - it’s about alignment, trust, and energy.
When those three align, everything flows.
