Need Clarification: PMP Exam Scheduled Before 9 July but Taken After

Hello everyone,

I have a question regarding the upcoming PMP exam update in July 2026 and would appreciate your guidance.

If a candidate schedules (books) the PMP exam before 9 July 2026, but the actual exam date is after 9 July (for example, 30 September 2026), will the candidate receive:

The current PMP exam, since it was scheduled before the update, or
The new PMP exam, because the exam is taken after the update?

I have come across different opinions, so I would appreciate it if anyone could clarify this based on official PMI guidance or personal experience.
