Passed PMP on My 3rd Attempt – What Finally Worked
I just want to say a huge thank you to Andrew Ramdayal, the 35-hour PMP course, and PMI Study Hall. I’ll be real—I failed my first two attempts. Coming from a non-Agile background, the Process domain was tough for me. It wasn’t about memorizing anything, it was really about understanding how PMI wants you to think. What finally helped everything click was focusing on the logic behind the questions. Andrew’s 50 Mindset video, 200 Ultra Hard Questions, and the drag-and-drop videos helped me see things differently. I also leaned heavily on Study Hall—I did over 717 questions and kept retaking exams. Every wrong answer, I reviewed it, understood why, and kept going. That repetition made the difference. Honestly, Study Hall felt harder than the actual exam, which helped a lot on test day. The combination of Andrew’s approach, the 35-hour course, and just putting in the reps is what got me through. And yes… I wore BLUE, Andrew!! 💙 THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU 🙌
Passed on 1st Try- Above Target On All Domains
Here’s some motivation! I decided to start studying in July of 2025. I had Mom brain fog all through 2025 as I recently had my second child. I planned to take the exam in Dec but I chickened out. I did not study consistently so I did not feel prepared. I scheduled my exam for March 2026. Took long breaks at times because I had a lot going on. Two weeks before the exam I studied almost everyday. At this point I was worried because I could not remember Traditional methods well. But agile was fresh on my mind. Two days before my exam, I stumbled upon Mohamed Rahman’s YouTube on how to use the PMP mindset to get almost every question correct. I skimmed through two of his 23 principles and mindset videos. I also used PMI Study Hall Plus. I got 60-80% on my practice exams. I didn’t even finish Andrew’s book, ( I purchased his workbook). I pressured myself to remember CPI, SPI, EV, PV, PERT, Float and stakeholder channel formulas. Did you know it wasn’t even on my exam? I took Andrew’s advice and wrote the formulas down as soon as I was permitted to. Zero questions. I had one drag and drop. Most of the exam was on scenarios. But the exam questions are different for each person. Again Passed Above Target on all domains. This was a very difficult test. But I feel like PMI Study Hall and Andrew’s questions are harder than the actual exam.
PMP Exam - ROI, IRR, NPV calculations?
Hello, for those of you who took the exam, were there any ROI, IRR, NPV calculation questions? The video course seems to have been recorded for students that were not taking the PMP exam. Andrew references that knowing how to do these calculations may be required for PMP exam candidates. Thank you
