Emotional Eating
Work has been stressful the last few days. Yesterday I had my lunch prepped and snacks so I did okay with nutrition until I came home and ate a pint of ice cream.
Today I tossed some stuff in my lunch bag but it wasn’t anything I was super excited about. I ordered out with the team…and then had a bag of cookies from the vending machine.
In hindsight I realize I was eating to make myself feel better about being stressed. It did t help me not feel stressed or do anything at all about the stress. All I have is regret.
Maintenance is so hard. It’s not talked about a lot. And there are no milestones to celebrate it seems. It’s easy to lose focus on why I should be making healthy food choices.
I plan to put some chicken in the oven tomorrow morning to bake while I walk. I will pack a lunch and snacks tomorrow and make better choices.
