Only the designer knows the intimate details of their plans. The thinking before the sketch. The sketches before the draft. The revisions, the implementation, the mistakes, the corrections. All we, as the onlookers, see is a beautiful, complete thing. Our responsibility to that thing is to understand and appreciate the benefit of it and the other 10,000 things that support it. We may feel distanced, at times, from our integration in the design but we are still a part of it. Without control we are a part of it. Without pursuit of being in it, we still are.
