Sharing rules vs Permission set
When I first started my Salesforce journey, one thing that confused me was sharing rules versus permission sets. To make it simple for me to remember -Sharing = visibility, Permission Set = capability.
• Sharing rules control what we can see, so think of it as visibility. It lets us access records beyond our role hierarchy.
• Permission sets give us additional access to what we can do in Salesforce, without changing our profile.
