This week’s challenge is here — and it’s all about showcasing your skills with Reports in Salesforce!
📊Businesses rely heavily on opportunity data to drive decisions. As a Salesforce Admin, your ability to create clear, insightful reports can help leaders track progress, spot bottlenecks, and optimize sales processes.
✅ The Pain Point:
At Sainsbury’s Corporate Sales division (example), leadership is struggling to track the sales pipeline effectively. They can’t easily see:
  • How much revenue is in the pipeline
  • Which sales stages are underperforming
  • Which deals are small, medium and large
  • And which sales reps are performing best
Your challenge is to help them gain clarity by building 2 summary reports capturing 4 powerful KPIs.
📌 Your Task:➡️ Create two summary reports on the Opportunity object:
📊 Report 1: Opportunity Pipeline by Stage & Owner
KPIs to capture
1️⃣ Total Pipeline Amount (sum of Amount field)
2️⃣ Number of Opportunities per Stage split by Sales rep (Opp Owner)
3️⃣ Average Opportunity Opportunity Amount, Median Amount and Maximum Amount
4️⃣ Bucket All Opportunities into 3 categories of Deal Size Using the Amount , (Small Deal, Medium Deal and Large Deal) NB: use any amount range of your choice to do the segmentatation
📊 Report 2: Closed Opportunities Performance
KPIs to capture:
1️⃣ Total Closed-Won Revenue
2️⃣ Maximum Closed WOn Opp
3️⃣ Average Closed Deal Size
4️⃣ Top Performing Sales Rep (by revenue)
Both reports should use Summary Reports, grouping as necessary, and adding any useful charts if you’d like.
🏆 Submission Instructions:
✅ Build your two reports in your Developer Org
✅ Take clear screenshots of both report configurations and results and put in a document
✅ Post your document with screenshots under this thread in the community
✅ You will also demo your reports in the next session on Saturday, so come ready, with your Dev orgs ready
