What Does Love Look Like To You?
This questions seems simple at first glance but the longer you sit with it, the more you might end up staring back at it with more questions than answers. If that is what happens, it is okay. Sometimes it is in moments like this we gain key insights into who we are.
We throw the word "love" around a lot but what do we really mean when we say it. Many parents would have variations of meaning but the common theme would be centered on having a strong, positive emotion towards someone you value.
As you think about being loved, describe how you will know when it is happening.
My last question is this: Is there a difference in being loved and being valued? If so, I would love to hear how you define the differences.
