Stupid & Scammed to Vindicated & Victorious
Recently I received an order of muslin blankets that I wanted very much. I had had one that got lost in our move. I enjoyed the lightweight comfort that transcends seasons. I saw an offer for muslin blankets on my phone one evening that was quite good so I went ahead with choosing colors. Now, I don't usually place orders on my phone. It's a no-no for me as I often can't read the fine print. When I pulled out the first blanket, I was dismayed to find it way smaller than expected. I only needed a full (double) size and not even a generous version of that. But these were throws. And not big throws either. When I went back to my confirmation email, here is the description: The Muslin Blanket - 100% Muslin Cotton (B1G1) × 1 Blue / Full 50x60 in Obviously I missed noting the size in inches. Possibly because the exact sizing was not a big deal. I sadly went about finding the refund/return instructions as the order was too large to simply keep. I received an email granting permission to return the order complete with instructions and a return address...in Germany. What?! I reread the email noting that they graciously offered me a 20% discount refund if I wanted to avoid the inconvenience of shipping the items to Germany. I responded and asked if my order was originally shipped from Germany. A polite response came immediately with the main sentence being "As a Swiss-based company, we process all returns through our facilities in Germany. This approach helps us streamline our operations and ensure efficient processing for our customers. This also applies to international customers." Okay. I decided to have a chat with AI. Lately, I've been taking some minor questions to the Google AI mode. I have to say, it outdid itself on this one. It immediately said this sounded like a common drop shipper ploy. And the more it explained, the more I realized that it wasn't me being careless - they had set the situation up like that including using only pictures of full size blankets as well as the confusing descriptions.

Misty
Misty was my daughter's fur baby. They were connected at the hip. My daughter said it was her soul mate in a cat form. 3 weeks ago she was out in the back yard as usual, then she disappeared. My daughter lives on a county country road, farmland. A lot of coyotes. We figured a coyote got her. Posters went up but to no avail, they searched everywhere, she is gone. So I wanted to paint her for my daughter. I think it's ready. Time to dry and seal in a week or so. I think I caught her essence.

Would you change this angle at all?
This bud caught my eye this morning - it’s gonna bloom in September??? Wanted to capture the moment - @Michelle Cyr, would you have used a different composition for the photo (is there the correct terminology?)
