Plein Air on Linen

Here's another attempt at a linen outdoors, 10x8. I can't really call this one plein air with the amount of work I did in studio afterwards. It came it out kind of dark and different than my usual style. I feel like I'm fighting with the surface for the style I want and will probably not work on linen going forward. I do like that I can just tape the canvas sheet to a board though. While I'm learning I really don't want to accumulate a pile of thicker boards. I might try arches oil paper next, any thoughts are welcome!

My wife does seem to prefer both the linen paintings though, so who knows. 😀
