Not trying to start a pro- or anti-AI war here, but… Recent surveys suggest that somewhere between 48% and 87% of working/independent musicians are using AI in some part of their process, depending on who was surveyed. (Ditto Music 48%, LANDR 87%) I get why some musicians don't like fully AI-generated songs—lyrics, music, vocals, arrangement, etc. Simply writing a prompt doesn't make one a songwriter or musician. But there are a lot of ways to use AI without having it create the song for you. It can help with lyrics, ideas, learning, or even let a solo artist fill in instruments they don't play. What's harder for me to understand is the idea that any use of AI somehow makes the music less legitimate. So, whether you're a beginner or have been playing for decades: Do you use AI at all in your musical process? If so, what do you use it for? Not looking to change anybody's mind. I'm just curious where other guitar players draw the line.

So ever since I started building my own pedals this year it’s been hard but fun. I thought I would share some of my experience with the process. Like I never knew that soldering tips didn’t last forever. I’ve soldered a few things in my life time but never dedicated much time to it. I mostly used simple soldering irons that plug directly into the wall and no temperature control. But I bought a neat soldering station with temperature control, helper arm clamps, auto shut off, sponge holder, copper wool and solder roll holder with a roll of solder… the works. So everything was going great until I noticed that my soldering tip looked like it was melting. So it turned out that the solder and flux and whatever other factors were causing the tip to oxidize and it just got completely destroyed. So in the process and experimenting with different solder types, temperature and pcb types. I’ve destroyed a couple of chips, resistors, capacitors, switches and pcb boards. But overall a great learning experience. And I’m currently working on creating my own pcb boards. If I’m working with an actual circuit board it’s easier to solder, the prototype boards are cool but not easy to work with depending on the type. Stay tuned for more updates!!

when i first discovered the voicings that were available in DADGAD when approaching my fingerings from over the top. this was the 3rd song that i wrote.. and little half bends on the "B" string are also very easy from this hand position. also using a 4 string capo ( i had to cut it off LOL) SO WHO ARE YOU NOW???

Apparently I needed another bass. I'm not sure why this happened? I'm kinda confused myself. Especially since I've been looking at guitars for the last 2 weeks. I'll send pictures when it gets here
