A local hot spot for up and coming bands, tribute bands, and, especially, mid-tier 80s hair metal bands, Count's Vamp'd in Las Vegas, NV is closing its doors after the show on 28 June 2025. Makes me sad. I celebrated my 50th birthday there in 2012. Tribute bands Rockford (Cheap Trick) and High Voltage (AC/DC with two lead vocalistsโฆ one for the Bon Scott era and one for the Brian Johnson era) played that night. It's a great small venue and one of the few venues of its kind in Las Vegas. It's owned by Danny Koker of History Channel's Counting Cars and Count's Kustoms fame. He also has an original band, Count's 77s, which is a throwback to 70s rock. At least its going out in style and with a bang.
The last five shows, starting on 28 May 2025โฆ
Faster Pussycat
Pearcy/DiMartini RATT
Night Ranger
Loverboy
And Count's 77s closes the place down, which is only fitting.
Don't know why its closing. Article didn't say.
