My journey…

So I bought my first guitar in 1989 and it was a no name acoustic. I had a teacher and showed me how to hold the guitar and play some basic chords. I bought my second guitar a 12 string Yamaha from a clsssmate at school. And the first songs was Every Rose Had its Thorn. And the second song was Wanted Dead or Alive. I then got my first electric a black Fender Strat. Because I was hooked on Eric Clapton and I could not afford a signature model. Then in the next few years I acquired an Ovation 12 string and a Takamine 6 string. And then I got a Fender Squire for free from a friend. Then in 1995 I got a job in computers. And I put music and writing on the back burner. 2002 I sold my electrics and focused on acoustics. Got a Martin and a mandolin and classical guitar. But life had different plans for me. Started getting into gaming and everything was computers. Fast forward to 2020. Lost my dad in Sept and then we lost EVH a month later. I played my pc two more times and I was done. Haven’t turned it on since then. My first thing I did was buy my dream guitar. The Fender EC signature guitar and then placed an order for my EVH signature USA and had to wait 8 months for it. I realized I was wasting my time on games. (Unless you are a game developer or someone who really loves games) I missed my creative side of me. So I decided to go back and start playing and writing again. I am in the process of building my own home studio. Something about music is healing and gratifying. Music is an international language and I really missed it. I am hoping my journey is just beginning. ✌🏻🤘🏻🤟🏻
