Do you know the difference between "Last Pickup Time" and "Closing Time"?
Hi everyone, I’m Marcos Fuenmayor, I'm the Tracking Coordinator at THE CLOSING SIGNING SERVICE. Recently, I came across a situation that highlights a very common mistake in our industry: a notary confusing a FedEx location's closing time with its last daily pickup.
Here is how it unfolded: The signing took place early at 11:00 AM. The notary dropped off the package at 6:30 PM, assuming everything was fine since the storefront didn't close until 7:00 PM. However, the final pickup truck of the day had already left at 5:00 PM. As a result, the critical documents sat in the store overnight, delaying the entire files' processing by a day.
