👋 Welcome to You Don’t Need an Agency
Hi, I’m Paul. You’re one of the first people here, and I’m really glad you came. This group is here to help you run your own Meta ads, understand them, and own every part of them. On recent calls with founders, I kept hearing the same thing. One said: “We want to always have the control in our hand.” Another: “We wanted to know the in and out of everything rather than keep ourselves blind.” Maybe you’re paying an agency and can’t see what it’s doing. Maybe you’re running your own ads with nobody to ask. Maybe you haven’t started yet. Either way, you’re in the right place. You haven’t done anything wrong. You just haven’t been shown how it works. 📊 What happens here I run my own ads in public, bad weeks included, and you copy the system for your business. From May I spent about £25 a day. A booked call cost me about £32, and those ads have brought in around £9,000. Now I’m scaling up to around £100 a day, and you’ll see every number on Fridays in Paul’s Journal. Those numbers prove the method for my business, not what you’ll get. Everything here teaches you to work out your own cost per result for whatever you sell. The method is ARC: Awareness, Relationship, Conversion. We go diagnosis, then strategy, then tactics. The order is what makes the ads work. 🧰 What’s inside - 📚 Classroom: six courses, from owning your ad account to a weekly numbers check - 📓 Paul’s Journal: my real numbers every Friday - 🔍 Research Room and 🎨 Creative Lab: how research turns into ads, and what won or lost - 🛠️ Teardowns: post your ad and I’ll review it - 🏆 Wins and ❓ Ask Paul - 🎥 Weekly live call and a 📈 monthly numbers night where I open my ad account on screen - 🙌 What I’m asking of you Be honest about where you are. Post the ads that worked and the ones that didn’t. Ask the basic questions. Nobody here gets judged for what they’ve spent or who they’ve hired before. 👉 Your one next step Comment below with your name, what you sell, and where you are with ads: paying an agency, doing it yourself, or not started. Then open Start here in the Classroom.
Excited to start and LEARN !!!
Looking forward to working with Paul to understand my own marketing.
💭 Selling Features vs Identity
Here's a quick breakdown of two ads. One sells features. The other sells identity, using customers' own words to tap into what they actually want on an emotional level. One of the biggest mistakes marketers make is focusing too much on product features rather than the outcome their customers actually desire. Feature-led ads often feel like an obvious sales pitch. They tell people what a product does, but fail to connect with why it matters to them. Identity-led ads take a different approach. They tap into the customer's desires, emotions, and self-perception, making the message feel instantly relatable. The customer feels like you're speaking directly to them. And that's because you are. You've done the research to understand what they actually care about.
