Lunch Hour is happening in 4 days
Hello,
I retired in 2020 and became a commissioned Notary shortly after that. I must admit to being nervous to get started. I was hoping to find a Notary in Sussex / Morris County that I could meet with and possibly shadow, to get some experience. Thank you, Mark

NJNA Goals and Vision
Welcome to the New Jersey Notary Association (NJNA) We are proud to welcome you to the official NJNA community, your home for professional development, collaboration, and support as a New Jersey Notary Public. Our mission is to strengthen the notary community through education, advocacy, and shared resources that elevate the standards of notarial practice across the state. Looking Ahead to 2026 As we move into the new year, NJNA has set several key goals: Member Growth: We will focus on expanding our membership base to connect notaries from every corner of New Jersey, fostering a stronger and more unified professional network. Education and Training: NJNA will begin scheduling in-person training courses designed to meet the state’s educational standards, ensuring members are fully prepared and confident in their duties. State Approval: We aim to become an officially approved notary educator recognized by the State of New Jersey, offering certified courses that satisfy state requirements. Legal Support: We plan to bring a licensed attorney on retainer to provide guidance on complex notarial and document-related questions, ensuring our members have access to reliable legal insight. Networking and Community: NJNA will host social gatherings and networking events throughout the year to help members connect, share experiences, and collaborate on professional growth opportunities. Member Resources: The member forum and upcoming workshops will provide a platform for exchanging knowledge and staying informed about legislative updates that impact notaries statewide. NJNA is growing rapidly, and with your participation, we will continue building a trusted, professional, and well-supported notary community in New Jersey. Join the conversation, meet your fellow notaries, and help us make 2026 a year of progress, connection, and empowerment for all New Jersey notaries.
Join me in welcoming Chrissey to NJNA
Hey Community! I’m very pleased to welcome my very good friend and fellow Notary Nerd, @Chrissey Hunsaker (formerly Chrissey Ladd), to the NJNA Community. While Chrissey is no longer a commissioned New Jersey Notary after relocating to the West Coast, she spent many years serving as a NJ Notary and remains deeply connected to this profession. During that time, she was also my business partner, a wedding client of mine, and went on to earn national recognition as the National Notary Association’s Notary of the Year in 2011. Chrissey brings a strong professional background in banking, mortgage services, and regulatory compliance. She has an exceptional ability to analyze documents, processes, and notarial practices, and she is especially skilled at identifying issues before they become problems. That experience and perspective make her a valuable resource for any notary who wants to better understand the business, compliance, and risk management side of this field. We are fortunate to have her voice, insight, and experience in this community, and I know many of you will benefit from the knowledge she brings to the table. Thanks for joining us here, Chrissey. – Patrick
