Spreading the word
Ive had so many conversations about the patches today, so many people needing help, which i know the patches will help with. BUT its important to remember you also need to be well hydrated and have good magnesium levels, eat healthy and avoid a sugar hit as your first meal of the day. Excercise often, fresh air is extremley good for your mental health too. What are your routines or tips to keeping healthy?

💜 How Metabolic Dysfunction Affects Our Cells (and Why It Matters for Fibromyalgia) When we talk about “metabolism,” we’re really talking about how well our cells create and use energy. Every cell in your body relies on a steady supply of fuel to function, repair itself, and keep inflammation under control. When the metabolic system isn’t working smoothly—something many people with fibromyalgia experience—it affects the body at a cellular level. Here’s what actually happens inside the cells: 🔋 1. Reduced Cellular Energy (Mitochondria Slow Down) Your mitochondria are your cells’ little power plants. Metabolic dysfunction can make them less efficient at turning food into usable energy (ATP). This leads to: • Increased fatigue • Muscle weakness • Slower recovery after activity • More frequent flares It’s not “in your head”—your cells literally have less power to work with. 🔥 2. Higher Levels of Oxidative Stress When metabolism becomes sluggish or unbalanced, cells produce more free radicals than the body can clean up. This oxidative stress can: • Increase pain sensitivity • Worsen inflammation • Contribute to brain fog • Speed up cellular wear and tear For people with fibro, this can amplify symptoms. 🌡 3. Inflammation Signals Get Stuck “On” Metabolic imbalance can cause your cells to send out more inflammatory signals than they should. This can make the body: • More sensitive to pain • Slower to heal • More vulnerable to stress • Prone to longer or more intense flares It’s like your cells’ alarm system won’t fully shut off. 🚫 4. Impaired Detoxification Inside Cells Cells normally break down waste products and recycle old proteins. With metabolic dysfunction, this process can bog down, causing: • More cellular “clutter” • Slower healing • More fatigue • Increased sensitivity to chemicals or stress Your cells have to work twice as hard to do basic cleanup. ⚡ 5. Disrupted Communication Between Cells Cells use chemical messages to coordinate everything—immune responses, hormone balance, pain signaling.
