EIGTH DAY IN PARADISE
A REALLY SOFT START TO THE DAY.
Day eight in beautiful Bali, and the morning started off really chilled and really relaxed. I got up and did some yoga, and Leo joined us like he does most mornings, just casually turning up like he owns the place.
After yoga, we had breakfast and then a short window before moving on to a sound bath with crystal bowls, crystal singing bowls, and crystal sound bowls. That session was phenomenal. Just one of those moments where your whole body drops and your nervous system finally gets the memo that it’s safe to relax.
ENERGY WORK AND REIKI MAGIC.
After the crystal sound bowls, we moved into a journaling session and then a Reiki attunement and introduction to Reiki level one. That was amazing for me because I love all of that stuff. Working with energy, chakras, tuning in… it’s always been something that’s really interested me.
The Reiki session itself was beautiful, and then after that I had a one-to-one session with one of the girls running the retreat. That included a one-to-one Reiki session as well, which was incredibly relaxing and grounding.
POOL LIFE AND PURE CHILL.
For the rest of the day, I literally just laid by the pool. It was such a needed day of calm and peace. Just chilling, laughing, joking, doing absolutely fuck all important.
At one point, I ended up saving one of the ladies’ glasses from the bottom of the pool because nobody else could dive down far enough to get them. So I dived down and rescued them like some sort of pool superhero.
They’ve also got these beanbag things you can sunbathe on, either outside the pool or floating in the pool. So we got onto one of those, which was really cool, just drifting about.
ME BEING A COMPLETE DOUGHNUT.
At one point, I thought I was absolutely bossing it and decided to switch from laying on my tummy to laying on my back so my tan would even out. What I didn’t realise was how far back I was on the beanbag.
So as I leaned back, I literally backflipped off the beanbag straight into the pool.
Everyone burst out laughing, and I popped straight back up and went, ta-da! Because honestly, if you don’t laugh at yourself in moments like that, what’s the point? It could have gone very differently if I’d taken it in a stressy or shitty way, but it was just fun and light and ridiculous.
GODDESS NIGHT ENERGY.
After that, we came up and got ready for dinner because it was goddess night. We had a ceremony, music, and all the girls together in their goddess energy, which was honestly beautiful.
Everyone got dressed up, we put jewels on our faces, and it was just really lovely. It actually made me feel really good in myself and about myself. Enlightening feels like the right word for it.
LIVE MUSIC AND LETTING LOOSE.
After the ceremony, we all went out for the evening to the local bar that a few of us had been to earlier in the week. There was live music playing, a guy on guitar, and then people just turning up with drums, tambourines, and all sorts of simple instruments.
One of the girls actually got up on stage and sang, which was fucking epic. She sounded incredible, and it was just so good to see someone jump up and own that moment without it being planned or rehearsed.
We sang, danced, laughed, and fully soaked up the atmosphere. I think we left around half twelve or one in the morning, and there were about seven of us heading back together.
SKINNY DIPPING AND BELLY LAUGHS.
While we were at the bar, we’d said that when we got back we were going skinny dipping in the pool. And we actually followed through.
We stripped off, and I tried to get into the pool with my knickers on until one of the girls stopped me and said, nope, that’s not skinny dipping. So off they came.
We were racing each other across the pool, laughing, swimming, chatting, just being free and playful and connected. It was such an empowering way to finish a day that had been all about feeling into ourselves and loving ourselves exactly as we are.
END OF DAY, HEART FULL.
And then… bedtime.
Another day that felt full, connected, playful, and deeply nourishing in ways I didn’t even realise I needed when I arrived.
