When Money Is Tight ?
This weekend, we honor the fallen.
For me… that’s Chief Larry Goldberg. He gave me these boots to fill. And the job he loved… took him from us. Not in one moment. Not on one call. But over years—the exposure, the stress, the wear that follows us home. His death from colorectal cancer is now recognized as a Line of Duty Death. It shouldn’t take years for that recognition. But today, it matters. Because this job doesn’t just demand everything from you—it quietly takes it. We honor the fallen. But we owe the living more. Better habits. Better protection. Better conversations about what this job is really doing to us. 🧼 Clean your gear 😓 Protect your sleep 🄩 Fuel your body 🩺 Get screened Protect yourself. Protect your family. That’s what this is really about. RIP my friend, Chief Goldberg. I carry what you taught me every day. If this hits home for you—you’re not alone. This weekend, we honor him and all those we have lost. šŸ‘ŠBuilt for Busy āœ…

Anyone else ever crush a workout and then have zero appetite after?
Hit a PR today—240lb for 3 reps on box squats… and I had zero appetite afterwards. Normally you’d think you’d be starving after a session like that—but not today. Instead of skipping it, I kept it simple: - High-protein meal (ground beef + cottage cheese) - Ate slower than usual - Focused on getting the protein in, not forcing a huge portion Appetite didn’t match the output—but recovery still matters. Hunger isn’t always the signal… fueling is still part of the job. Anyone else run into this?
What’s wearing you down right now… or do you even know?
Let’s keep this real for a minute. What’s actually wearing you down right now? Or are you just pushing through it and haven’t really stopped to think about it? Energy off? Sleep not where it should be? Feeling off all day? Just worn down and still showing up anyway. Or something else? No overthinking—just be honest about where you’re at. Drop it below ā¬‡ļø
