I'm working on developing a brand new Group Coaching program based on improv principles. It's going to leverage principles like Yes, And (to help develop acceptance and generosity), present-moment focus (to help with attention and groundedness), ensemble thinking (to help develop trust & co-creation), spontaneity (to help develop authenticity and groundedness) and failure as data (to help develop resilience & humor). This is not a performance-based class so no acting or improv skills will be required but will definitely require participants to step outside of their comfort zones, have an open mind and allow themselves to be silly. I'm curious, just based on the areas of development I mentioned above, #1 do you think a program like this would generate interest, #2 who do you think would benefit from these skills (what type of individual and what type of problems would they have)? For your information, my ideal client is a single high-achieving woman (GenX-Boomers) who is navigating major life transitions but for the purpose of this research, I just want to get a wider idea of who would possibly benefit from a program like this. Since improv is best done live, I will conduct this in-person, however, I will probably also design a virtual format and I would just have to make some adjustments to how I conduct the exercises, but I still think it can be done. Lastly, if any of you would be interested in possibly joining this program, let me know and I can keep you in the know once I finish developing this. Thank you for your help.

Stepping out of my comfort zone
I've been thinking a lot about limiting beliefs, particularly mine, and how my limiting beliefs may be slowing me down from achieving my coaching goals. Recently I have joined a community that focuses on teaching entrepreneurs how to improve visibility through videos, something I feel I have never been good at. Enter my limiting belief, and that is that I don't look good on video and if I'm being honest with myself, is the excuse I've been using for not posting the kind of content I know would help me attract my ideal client on my social media platforms. But I'm pushing myself outside of my comfort zone and have been taking the workshops in this community seriously and going to try to get past my insecurities and reframe my mindset about how I appear on video so that I can finally put out content and make impactful connections with my audience. I believe I can do it. And so what if it's not perfect, right? At least that's what I'm telling myself. Baby steps. I'm curious, what limiting beliefs do you have that may be slowing you down from growing your business? Do you want to change those beliefs? And what would it look like if you did change those beliefs? What would you get?

Client Problem Question
I came across another great question from another group to help us with our niche and ideal client identification that I'd love to share here. The question is or rather, complete the sentence: The unglamorous problem my clients are quietly Googling at midnight before they ever reach out to me is ______. My answer is “The unglamorous problem my clients are quietly Googling at midnight before they ever reach out to me is ‘How do I make a major life decision when I’m completely overwhelmed and doing it all alone?’” Share yours.

What is your ideal client's problem?
I belong to this entrepreneur group and it was so timely that the question they posed yesterday was so fitting to the niche and ideal client work we were doing last night. I like how they asked the question so I'm going to ask it here: What is the one thing that your clients keep DIYing (Do It Yourself) for too long before they finally come to you? My answer is: the one thing my clients keep DIYing for too long is carrying the weight alone of making an important, high stake life decision that causes them to spiral in the vicious loop of overthinking, dread, self-doubt and overwhelm that spring from their indecisiveness. How about you?

Dessert Debate 🍰 🎂
I was in the middle of studying the coaching material when a sudden craving appeared. I wanted a slice of cheesecake 😋 Then I started to think about whether I actually wanted cheesecake or just cake. 🤔 If you had to choose between cheesecake and cake, Which one would you choose? And if you choose cake, what kind of cake?
