I'm working on developing a brand new Group Coaching program based on improv principles. It's going to leverage principles like Yes, And (to help develop acceptance and generosity), present-moment focus (to help with attention and groundedness), ensemble thinking (to help develop trust & co-creation), spontaneity (to help develop authenticity and groundedness) and failure as data (to help develop resilience & humor). This is not a performance-based class so no acting or improv skills will be required but will definitely require participants to step outside of their comfort zones, have an open mind and allow themselves to be silly. I'm curious, just based on the areas of development I mentioned above, #1 do you think a program like this would generate interest, #2 who do you think would benefit from these skills (what type of individual and what type of problems would they have)? For your information, my ideal client is a single high-achieving woman (GenX-Boomers) who is navigating major life transitions but for the purpose of this research, I just want to get a wider idea of who would possibly benefit from a program like this. Since improv is best done live, I will conduct this in-person, however, I will probably also design a virtual format and I would just have to make some adjustments to how I conduct the exercises, but I still think it can be done. Lastly, if any of you would be interested in possibly joining this program, let me know and I can keep you in the know once I finish developing this. Thank you for your help.
