There are 40+ DMs sat there blinking at me. I reckon 1,000+ notifications gulp.
Will I get to the bottom of those? Absolutely not a tofu sausage.
Do I need to? Also absolutely not sir. DUHing…
But before I go downhill get a mini Mimi stress on thinking “must do everything immediately because I care and I’m human and HELLO over-responsibility,” I did the first thing that actually matters heaps
I breathed.
Not in a woo-woo way. Just in a… pause, woman… kinda way…
And I reminded myself how fricken GRATEFUL I am to even HAVE this hmmm “problem.” I get to run businesses online. I get to connect with EPIC HUMANS all over the world (HELLO, you reading this). I get to write emails. I get to create content. I get to support. I get to listen. I get to learn. I get to build things that didn’t exist before.
So the first shift was simple but powerful AF.
🐥 SHIFT ONE – IT’S NOT A TO-DO LIST. IT’S A GET-TO-DO LIST 🔥
I don’t call it a to-do list anymore. Because that feels heavy AF. Obligation. Meh.
It’s a GET-TO-DO list.
I get to reply to you.
I get to build connection.
I get to show up.
I get to create.
That one tiny but mighty language shift changes my whole energy. DUH. Words matter. (I mean… have you met me b4)
Instead of “ugh, 40 DMs,” it becomes “oh wow, 40 humans who took time to message me.” That hits different.
🐥 SHIFT TWO – SMALL CLUMPS, NOT MANIC MESS.
If I look at everything at once, my brain goes into mild eek, what's going on here, then, oooffff mode. So instead of trying to clear the mountain, I chunk it.
20 minutes DMs.
20 minutes notifications.
20 minutes new connections.
20 minutes content.
20 minutes client work.
Small clumps. Timed. Intentional. Done. BOOM-shaka-laka (BOOM) 💥
Because well, overwhelm often isn’t about volume. It’s about vagueness stuff. When it’s all spiralling like a [hmm, insert analogy here, cannot think of one], it feels impossible-ish. When it’s structured, it feels doable. TOTES different vibe, hey?
🐥 SHIFT THREE – HUMANS FIRST. WOOP, MWAH!
Over this week I’ll be checking in personally inside my memberships. If you’re in anything with me, you’ll probs get a “hi, how are you actually?” message. Not automated. Not generic pffffttt dat. Just… hi, hey, how the frock are ya…
Because businesses are built on humans, not dashboards (not wrong with them btw, b4 any knickers twist). And sometimes the most strategic thing you can do is deepen one connection instead of chasing ten new ones.
🐥 SHIFT FOUR – CEO MODE, BUT KIND OBVS
Behind the scenes I’ll be checking analytics. Financials. Tracking numbers propers like. Spreadsheet life activated.
And weirdly… it feels like the beginning of my year right now (hmm it the Chinese new year tomoz🏮).
Not January. Now. Integration does that. It resets you. Are you feeling it?
And yes, Sacred AF Bali retreat doors are open for October and three rooms have already gone WOOP (excited, grateful ). The in person retreat I just hosted, will have its own stories. So much came up for me during retreat and the days after. Waves. Guilt. Anxiety. Calm. High. Low. All of it. More on that soon-ish
But right now?
Right now it’s about being strategic AND kind with my time and energy.
That’s the juicy balance I’m ROCKIN’
NOT RUSHING.
NOT PANICKING.
NOT TRYING TO CLEAR 1,000 NOTIFICATIONS TO PROVE ANYTHING.
Not trying to win some invisible productivity award.
Just… intentional AF movement.
