Data & metadata backups & DR scenarios

Does anyone know what the best practices are for:

1) set-up meta data backups for artificats not supported by GIT integration?

2) normal data backups (eg 1 year monthly, 1 month daily, ...)

3) possibility for DR if some routine/pipeline removed/corrupted all production data?
