Quick reminder for your weekend round of golf, the way you talk to yourself after a shot directly impacts what happens on the next one.
Most golfers don’t lose focus because of the shot… they lose it because of the story they attach to it.
❌ Emotional / Judgy self-talk:
  • “That’s terrible.”
  • “I’m so bad at this.”
  • “Here we go again.”
Replace it with Neutral Self talk-
✅ Neutral self-talk (facts only):
  • “Started right, didn’t turn.”
  • “Contact was thin.”
  • “I rushed the routine.”
  • “Wind held it up.”
Why this works: Neutral language keeps you calm, clear, and coachable. It stops the spiral and gets you back into problem-solving mode.
Try this simple rule today: Describe the shot like a commentator, not like a critic.
Then finish with one reset line:“Next job.” or “Back to process.”
