šŸ’§ Are You Pouring Out… or Flowing Over?
Here’s a question I’ve been reflecting on lately, especially as speakers, coaches, and leaders:
šŸ‘‰ Are we pouring out to serve others… or are others receiving from our overflow?
At first glance, both sound noble.
But they’re not the same.
When we pour out, we give from what we have, our time, our energy, our creativity, our emotional capacity. It’s powerful, but it can also be draining if we don’t refill.
When others receive from our overflow, we serve from a place of abundance, not exhaustion. We give the best of what’s left after we’ve been filled ourselves.
Here’s a quick reflection:
šŸ’” Pouring Out
  • āœ… Feels fulfilling in the moment.
  • āš ļø But can lead to burnout if not balanced.
  • ā³ Requires constant replenishment.
šŸ’« Overflowing
  • āœ… Sustains impact over time.
  • šŸ’Ŗ Draws people to you because your energy feels genuine and full.
  • 🌊 Multiplies influence — because fullness inspires.
Both have their place. Sometimes we pour, sometimes we overflow. The key is knowing when to do which.
So I want to ask you,
šŸ’ Where are you right now? Pouring out, or overflowing?
Drop your thoughts below ā¬‡ļø I’d love to hear how you balance service and self-care in your leadership or business.
